in the office right now, so I’m going to waste some time.
10 THINGS THAT MAKE ME
01. The new PEPSI logo = so sick. Seeing material like this always makes me do a 180 when I just want to quit.
02. Goat cheese medallions from WholeFoods.
03. No-name vintage leather camera cases, with a shoulder strap. So darling!
04. Related to above, vintage Vuitton messenger bags, pochettes, and portfolios. I don’t even know what I would put in them, but that’s the case with every container / tin / bag / clutch I buy.
05. Newly-won Chanel Classic CC Turnlock earrings off eBay, in gold from Autumn ‘95.
06. Older, metal, fold-up Polaroid models, trimmed with leather! That would seem like such a luxury item today.
07. The T brothers at work. They’re so fun to be around and they definitely improve the overall mood.
08. Baby is on his way home and I get to see him today!:)
09. Lime Ice Love Quotes scarf, worn with grey jeans and navy flats: inspired by Lela Rose’s Spring ‘09 RTW collection.
10. The Peking Duck roll I had from Yushi today! I love Peking Duck, and even though I had my doubts because it was so cheap, the sushi did not disappoint!
My ‘40′ vintage gas station number sign arrived last week, and I’m hoping when I move out I can set it up somewhere central as a reminder to persevere if I really want change at work, with friends, in life. New additions to my newfound love for vintage include #05, and hopefully #06 (I did so much research in the past two days to really know and understand what I want in an old Polaroid model) as well as #03 to protect my soon-to-be outdated investment. And you know, to accessorize. :}

These past few days, I’ve been channeling my aggression / stress / frustration into hard-core browsing (which leads to whipping out the plastic) and indulging in salty, salty foods. I would not be surprised if this is the week that will cause me to have hypertension in the near future… but at least now I have a good feel for Polaroid’s history and it has led to my being an educated consumer about their soon-to-be outdated products.
The stress that has been accumulating is aggravated by my commute – I noticed this morning that there is no other time during the day that so many strings of profanity are screamed. By me. Inside my head.
I’m wondering if we haven’t spoken because you refuse to apologize – or do you expect an apology from me?

Death cloud refers to the gloomy atmosphere caused by P’s adult tantrums, and the pastry lining would be the substantial yet petite creamy cheesecakes I got for S to cheer her up.
Banging on the table with every syllable you yell? That is unnecessary, sir.
Everyone’s leaving NYC this week
Baby, then E, then A. But at least baby and I are doing really well now! I don’t even know how we made the 180-turnaround, but everything’s working so much better.
So funny the other day – the boy, with my bra on his eyes:
“I’m a bee. Buzzzzzzz.”

One bag actually is three servings, and each serving has a small amount of fat (including saturated fat) that really adds up, assuming you eat the whole bag (which you will, since it’s a pretty small portion). What the hell, tryna pretend they wholesome with they whole grains and green energy.
Also annoying: our building is the shape of a diamond, and it’s messing me up, but I guess that’s more my own lack of direction. I wonder how long it’ll be before I actually have a daily routine that consists of more work than pretend-to-work…

Beautiful and glorious! I, on the other hand, am stupid but tremendously satisfied. My arugula and greens salad has an entire soft-boiled egg, turkey, pine nuts, FRESH mozzarella AND goat’s cheese. Orgasm!, despite it being drenched in caesar dressing.
Ever since restaurant week and last night’s dinner at The Modern, I have been in love with goat’s cheese. So nice to see it on the list of salad topping options at Miro Cafe, too bad we’re leaving the bustling Soho area for the financial district… What’s around there, anyway? It looks so grey and full of steel, instead of bright colors, shiny jewelry stands, and hipsters.
I am pleased to say each day here is getting better and better.

Christina and I confessed to each other how staying at home is giving both of us serious cabin fever. Not only that, but being poor has driven us to wandering St. Mark’s place trying to think of things to do for free. SO. SAD. Why does everything cost money? By next week, I will probably be making bread out of ground acorns and reading old books by candlelight.
Anyway to end, despite the friendly staff and in-your-face-eco-awareness, the newly opened Oko (read: the next wannabe-Red Mango) serves overpriced and VERY SOUR frozen yogurt. Red Mango again, rules over all.
